Tulsa is a great school for someone that doesn’t know much about welding, but wants to get in on the ground floor. Although I feel more can be taught in order for a graduate to be able to get a good job at a higher pay rate.

    Great experience

I’m very thankful for the knowledge and the experience that I gained in the EMT program, I was taught the necessary skills I needed to be successful in the HVAC field. I want to take the time to shoot out Mr. Reid for showing me the way and teaching me to be a service tech and not a helper. I’m grateful for competing in SKILL USA representing TULSA OF JAX and placing in the state finals. The career service department work so hard with job placement thanks MARCEL for everything. THANKS TWS

    Incredible Foundation!

I started 2 weeks after graduating high school knowing only how to stick weld. The 7 months I attended flew by and before I knew it I had graduated and was starting a job tig welding stainless steel. Barely a year after high school and I was already out performing welders twice my age and many more years experience! Very grateful for my time at TWS and would not choose to spend it anywhere else!

    Grease experience

I attended Tulsa Welding School from August through March. The school had great intensional purpose and gives great basic training. Would be amazing if they had a 2 year school to further training and practices about the trade. I have landed 2 different jobs since graduation and learned a lot more. That is why I say the 2 year school may be good. But the school was amazing. I am proud to say I graduated from TWS.

    Cornerstone of my career

I attended TWS of Jacksonville,FL because I needed a career and skilled trade that was going to be needed for a very long time to come. TWS gave me the skills needed to land me a very good job for a respectable employer to get me started. I worked for Ingalls Shipbuilding constructing new Navy boats.. Now I have transfered my skills to work on nuclear powered submarines for the U.S. Navy. It all started with TWS and it’s highly skilled and knowledgeable welders. Thank you.

    Great experience

Only had an issue with one teacher that was new and didn’t know how to talk to people. Other than that all the other instructors were great.

    Excellent curriculum

The curriculum is extensive and comprehensive. The instructor for the morning and afternoon classes is thorough and teaches in a way that is easy to understand and is willing to answer all questions that are brought up.

I am intending to take my cwi after completing this course and i am confident that i will be fully prepared.

Work hard and it’ll pay off!

I went in to the school focused on learning everything I could about the processes of welding, the instructors saw that I was driven and were eager to help!

    Great program

The program was fast, almost to fast. It flew by. Good school if you stay in the booth and behind the hood. The instructors give you the chance to lean it’s up to you to make it happen. I’m currently on my 3rd job and the employers seem to be thrilled with the skill I have learned here at TWS

    Awesome experience

Overall great school. The instructors are always willing to help. I knew nothing about welding going in and felt I could get a job when I left. You get out what you put in so I was a little worried about the students that didn’t give their all and still graduated making the rest of us look bad.

As a single mom of three kids TWS was so worth it. The program has enhanced not only my future but also the future of my children. With great instructors and staff…it was worth it. I am currently a girl pipe fitter and well respected.

    Shipfitting, where the heart is.

I absolutely loved my time at TWS. I got to get dirty and learned a new trade, Heck I even made a working guitar with my own two hands! Mike, Tom, and Jimmy were some outstanding instructors, I came into TWS not even knowing what a torch was, and came out with a self made WORKING guitar!

However, my thirst has not been quenched, I’ve completed the Shipfitting program and I’m coming back for more, Professional Welding, you’re next!

    Great experience

The program was fast pace and needed much effort put forward, though there was so much work time as opposed to class time that I got to work with my hands, since I really do enjoy working with my hands. It’s taught me so much and I can’t wait to use it for a job.

    Hard Work And Dedication!

Hi My name is Clayton Hardesty. I’m a graduate of Tulsa Welding School. I graduated in March of 2011 at the Tulsa Oklahoma Campus. As soon as I graduated, I was able to come right in to the Pipefitters Union Local 562 St. Louis Mo. I’ve been working in coal burning power plants and nuclear power plants making hot welds on big steam Pipes. I’ve also been on a few chiller and boiler change out jobs and I’ve gotten to travel a bunch since I started with them! This year will be my last year of a five year apprenticeship that I’ve been serving with them. I have to say that I love what I do for a living. If it wasn’t for TWS and the instructors that I learned from while I was there i would have never passed the weld tests to get into the Union and on to jobs where I have to pass a gate tests to be able to weld on the construction jobs that I go on. While I was at TWS, I was in the afternoon class. I would come in extra early each day and stay late so that I would get a grasp on what I was learning at the time. There where some days that were harder than others for me with the welding and there were some days that it just came natural. Those long hard days that I spent in the booth paid off in the end I’m very happy where I’m at today. TWS taught me that Hard work and dedication does pay off! I still have a long ways to go and I’m still learning everyday. I had a instructor tell me at TWS that the day you quit learning is the day that you quit doing anything and I have to say that stands to be true. Thank you for all that you have taught me TWS and thank you to all the instructor that taught me along the way!!!
