Eligibility for the competition hinges on students’ mastery of oxy-fuel cutting, shielded metal-arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, and flux-cored arc welding. Students must also come equipped with safety glasses, leather work boots, face shields, welding jackets, welding gloves, and appropriate goggles or glasses for oxy-fuel cutting.
