Kentucky Welding Programs Great Way to Prepare for Green Jobs
Green Energy Popping up Across the Country
Whether or not green energy will be the future of energy in the United States remains to be seen. Yet, the one thing that is becoming clear is that the construction of green energy generating equipment, whether it is wind turbines or solar equipment, is a boon for the manufacturing sector.
New Wind Turbine Plant is Good News for Welders
One example of this is happening in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Back in February, Mayor Tom Barrett announced that a Spanish company that makes generators for wind turbines will be opening up a plant in Milwaukee. This new plant will create 270 jobs for the city.
This type of expansion isn’t limited to Wisconsin. Any area that has room for new factories is prime real estate for companies looking to open up manufacturing facilities for green energy generators. Kentucky, for example, is an area that could benefit from these new manufacturing jobs.
This potential for expansion is one reason to consider leaning a manufacturing trade such as welding. Say you’re living in Kentucky and you hear that they’re going to start construction on a wind turbine plant. You’d want to be able to show up for work as soon as they start looking for trained welders. This is a great reason to enroll in one of Kentucky’s welding programs.
Where Will Green Manufacturing Jobs Pop Up Next?
Green energy has shown that it can create many new jobs. Local, state and federal government agencies have helped facilitate this job creation with different loan and credit programs – a Small Business Association loan, Brownfield Reclamation loan and Federal Advanced-Energy Manufacturing tax credit. This plant shows how government and business are working together to advance green energy in order to provide the valuable jobs that make the world go round.
